Get involved by giving to Waterberg Welfare Society

UK donors may wish to make donations via our UK supporting charity, The Waterberg Welfare Society Trust, to enable tax to be reclaimed by Gift Aid. You can do this by debit or credit card at their Justgiving.com website:

You can also use our Justgiving.com website to raise money for WWS by competing in a charity event. You can make payments and collect donations for any event, from marathons to memorials, or even in lieu of birthday presents!

Sophie Williams-Thomas, a trustee of The Waterberg Welfare Society Trust, is currently aiming to raise funds for WWS by riding across Patagonia, from the Pascific coast of South America to the Atlantic coast at Puerto Madryn. This is a journey of 750km which she hopes to complete in April 2008. The Drapers Company have agreed to match any sponsorship Sophie can raise up to the sum of £2,500, so if you would like to sponsor Sophie your donation will be doubled. If you use Sophie's Justgiving.com fundraising page, tax can be retrieved through Gift Aid on payments by UK taxpayers.

Fellowship Programme

In partnership with The Wilson Foundation and The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, we offer a programme of fellowhips for U.S. physicians to assist Waterberg Welfare Society staff in provision of community health care and treatment of malnutrition, HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases.
